
The NSW Government's Environmental Trust invites applications to the grant programs detailed below.
ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH
Two-stage application process - Expression of Interest then application by invitation only for the major and minor research grant categories.
Major category - Grants up to $200,000 - Air. Scientific, social and economic proposals will be considered.
Minor categories - Grants up to $100,000 - Biodiversity and Hazardous Substances & Waste.
(Total funds available for major and minor categories $900,000.)
Seeding grants - one stage application process. Grants up to $20,000 for Ëœproof of concept" projects (funds available $100,000).
Grants available in the categories Air, Biodiversity, Hazardous Substances & Waste, Waters & Catchments and Environmental Noise.
Available to community organisations, universities and research institutes.
(Total program funds for Research Program $1 million.)
ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION
Two-stage application process - Expression of Interest then application by invitation only.
Grants of $5,000 to $100,000 available to:
ECO SCHOOLS GRANTS PROGRAM
60 grants of $2,500 each (total program $150,000).
Schools who did not receive an Environmental Trust grant in 2007 are eligible to apply.
ENVIRONMENTAL RESTORATION AND REHABILITATION
Grants of $5,000 to $100,000 available to:
PROTECTING OUR PLACES ABORIGINAL GRANTS PROGRAM
Grants of $2,000 to $35,000
Available to any Aboriginal community group or organisation (total program $500,000).
